The opposition Japan Restoration Party has decided to dissolve
- Due to their disagreement over a proposed merger with a smaller opposition party, prompted by divergent views on Japan’s pacifist Constitution
- It will aim to dissolve by the end of July
- It’ll split into two parties,
a 21st and a house-warming
The Japan Restoration Party currently has 62 in the upper and lower houses
- 37 are expected to join a group led by Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto
- 23 plan to form a new party with Shintaro Ishihara
- 2 intend to become independents
