  • Annualised housing starts 0.996m vs 0.930m expected
  • Prior 0.992m
  • Construction orders -18.7% vs +4.0% y/y prior

Better-than-expected figures for housing data, but the dip in construction orders isn't one that is too optimistic. Not really something that will help to spur industrial activity in the coming months.
