A quick rundown on where we stand
- US 2-year yields touch 2.5039%, first time above 2.5% since Sept 2008
- US 5-year yields touch highest since Aug 2009
- US-7 year yields at a 7-year peak
- US 10-year yields consolidate above 3% at 3.02%
- US 30-year yields up 2 bps to 3.20%
We're up 2-3 bps across the curve with all maturities moving up uniformly. The next big level to watch is 3.22% in 30s. That has been major resistance for the past two years.
The spread between 2s and 30s is 69 bps. Here's an interesting chart from Charlie Biello showing historical returns in the S&P500 based on the yield curve.
