Italy's deputy prime minister, Luigi Di Maio, speaks to Repubblica
- No cuts to key reforms
- Wants to stop daily back-and-forth with the EU
As mentioned several times over the past week, it's tough to see talks between the two parties leading to a resolution at this point. Italy's government is still insisting that they won't back down on the budget deficit target as well as key items on their agenda and the European Commission just cannot accept that or otherwise risk facing a backlash from other nations.
