ISTAT President Enrico Giovannini in an interview with La Repubblica has said “spending cuts are putting ISTAT at risk”, warning “from January onwards we will not issue any statisitcs.”
Planned government cuts are set to reduce ISTAT funding to 150-160 million by 2013 from 176 million currently.
