Italian city elects protest party

If you thought Italian politics was a joke already, wait until you hear this one.

The Northern city of Parma (pop. 200K) has elected has elected the Movimento 5 Stelle, according to State TV. The protest party led is by Italian comedian Beppe Grillo and was featured in the New York Times on the weekend.

There is substance to the party, which focuses on anti-corruption and eDemocracy.

Besides, for pure entertainment value, no politician could top Berlusconi.
