He's shallow and xenophobic but at least he hasn't been bought off
There is so much to dislike about Donald Trump. He is turning US politics into an even filthier cesspool of personal attacks and he displays a frightening disconnect from reality; not to mention the racism.
But he's got one big thing going for him -- he isn't taking anyone's money.
That alone makes him a special kind of anti-hero in an era when elections are bought and sold.
I often say there is only one kind of political system that can never work; a corrupt one. The US has invented a special kind of corruption that's snaked into just about every institution.
Trump might not be the person to fix it or stand up to it but he's much more likely to than Clinton or Rubio.
