Here’s an interesting article – it describer radiologists looking for abnormalities in a series of scans but not seeing the picture of the gorilla that is plainly in the scans too.
When the experimenters asked the radiologists if they had seen anything unusual, 83% said no. An eye-tracking machine showed that radiologists missed the gorilla even when they were looking straight at it.
Makes me wonder what I don’t see when I am looking at the chart (until its too late :-D)
