If the UK and EU can't agree on Brexit we will fall back on WTO arrangements

Brexit minister David Jones is on the soap box

He says that if we can't agree on negotiations in the two year timeframe, we'll fall back on "other arrangements", and cites the WTO.

He also said that the government proposes that parliament will vote on the final Brexit deal before EU parliament votes on it.

And now;

  • Believes the gov is proposing a meaningful vote for parliament on any Brexit deal

  • He cannot think of a greater signal of weakness than parliament sending the government back to EU for further negotiations if parliament rejects the Brexit deal

You can bet your bottom dollar that that is exactly what will happen.
