Reports suggest SNB President Thomas Jordan's email password leaked
The Swiss press is reporting that 20,000 employees of the Swiss government had their email passwords and user profiles hacked and leaked. Among them is the chief of the army and SNB President Thomas Jordan.
The report says many of the people affected -- and hopefully Jordan -- have multi-factor authentication which would prevent anyone from accessing his email.
"The SNB writes that it is prepared for such cases and has taken proven measures for doing so. They do not comment on Thomas Jordan," a translation of the story says.
The leak is part of a trove of 773 million email addresses and 20 million passwords that were posted on a hacker forum. The affected users are global.
h/t @ransquawk for the headsup.
