Housing is back on the economic calendar again

Housing starts are due at the top of the hour as part of a light economic calendar

A poor NAHB housing market index on Monday helped to sink USD/JPY and weighed on equities. It will be a second day of US housing numbers at the bottom of the hour with the October housing starts data. The consensus is for an annualized pace of 1225K starts and 1260K building permits.

The calendar is light later but features a few key speakers in Weidmann (1500 GMT), Nouy (1630 GMT) and the BOC's Wilkins at 1745 GMT).

Otherwise, the focus will remain on equities with S&P 500 futures pointing to another 33 point decline after a 45 point drop yesterday.
