Didn’t take long for higher borrowing costs to make an impact on the Italian budget deficit. The the deficit is lower on a year-to date basis than a year ago, it widened to EUR 8.5 bln in November from 4.9 bln last November.
Debt servicing costs were cited by the Treasury.
