The German pilot union has rejected a new wage offer from Lufthansa
There's been ongoing negotiations between Lufthansa and the German pilot union and the latest offer has been knocked back.
Germany is renowned for its unions and their tough negotiating on wages. Earlier this year Lufthansa cabin staff had a deal on the table of a €3k bonus payment and 2.2% hike in wages. That's under arbitration talks until the end of June.
If there's one thing that will kick inflation higher, particularly in Germany, it's wage deals made the unions.
