Financial markets have invariably been male-dominated but now gladly times are changing, albeit slowly, and that goes for retail forex traders too,
When I first started as a junior spot fx trader back in 1980 I had the privilege of working with the first female trader in London, Joyce Course, who looked after a variety of clients on our corp desk with great aplomb and market knowledge. Gradually and thankfully, the number of women who worked for bank dealing rooms grew in my time, particularly in the field of corp sales, money markets and technical analysis.
So let's be hearing from our female traders and readers out there.How long have you been in the market? What advantages/disadvantages/discrimination do you see these days?
