The leaks from the cabinet meeting begin
Chancellor of the exchequer Phillip Hammond called for a 'democratic process' in today's seven-hour cabinet meeting, according to a leak from The Times.
The same sources also said the biggest split in the meeting was over a long extension with 14 people speaking against it. The biggest opponents of May's strategy were Williamson, Truss and Leadsom.
A separate report says that cabinet had a vote and 10 wanted a long extension, 14 wanted a no-deal Brexit or a short extension and 2 abstained.
