Goldman says the upgrades on growth are probably done
In a note today, Goldman Sachs says the good news is probably now priced into the global economy. They say better financial conditions have boosted the outlook since the summer but that there isn't much more in the pipeline.
"We think that the improvement has now probably run its course," GS economists write. "The positive impulse from financial conditions is no longer growing, and, at least in the emerging world, we expect a diminishing impulse as we move through 2017. Consistent with this, the growth data are no longer systematically beating expectations."
