There is one question left to answer for 2013: Will gold finish at the lows of the year?
Prices fell as low as $1183 in a spike at 9 am ET, just above the June low of $1180 but they have bounced back to $1188, down $8 on the day. It has been a dreadful year for gold as the first decline in 12 years was a whopping 29.1%. It would only be appropriate to end on the lows.
