GM said to report 13% US auto sales drop, estimate was -7.7%

GM no longer publicly releases the data

Bloomberg reports that GM is said to have dialed back incentives in August, especially on pickup trucks and that led to a 13% drop in sales in the month. Analysts were looking for a 7.7% decline.

GM no longer reports its sales figures monthly.

In general sales were weak in August with Ford as a big outlier.
