At least in the developed economies we saw some signs yesterday that upward pressure on interest rates may be easing. First we heard from the Fed’s Yellen and Dudley who gave the dovish point of view more air time; then the UK CPI data for March came in below expectations; finally the Bank of Canada released a less hawkish statement.
