German economy minister Peter Altmaier speaks on German radio
- Says that US and EU must hold intensive talks over trade
- Wants to defend EU interests over trade
- Doesn't see Europe being flooded with cheap Chinese steel imports
- Wants more international cooperation for fair trade
The EU has already been granted temporary exemption to US tariffs earlier today, but there still isn't much clarity on whether or not they will be made permanent.
