A German government spokeswoman reiterates that no direct financial aid will be provided to Turkey
There was quite a bit of a debacle overnight when the WSJ reported that Germany is considering to offer Turkey emergency financial assistance. However, just under an hour later a German official rebutted that report but mentions that they will be looking at other options to aid Turkey instead.
Meanwhile, the lira is continuing its slow and "steady" decline on the week. It is currently down almost 3% against the dollar today:
