Germany cuts gold reserves for second time in 5 months

Saw this on reuters from a few hours ago

Germany, the world’s second biggest holder of gold reserves after the US, cut its holdings in October for the second time in 5 months according to IMF data released earlier today.

The Bundesbank sold 3.421 tonnes in October reducing its reserves to 3,387.247 tonnes.

The sale is not a significant amount in relative terms therefore, and reasons for sale not given.
