A little bit of a slide for the GBP, AUD & NZD against USD
Not a lot, but all either close to or below overnight lows
Its been a quiet session so far for news flow, nothing much at all of relevance to the currencies
There has been some data from NZ & the UK:
- UK data - RICS House Price Balance (September): 17% y/y (expected +14%)
- New Zealand press: RBNZ locks itself into a November cut
- New Zealand - Food Price index for September: -0.9% m/m (prior +1.3)
- New Zealand - BusinessNZ Manufacturing PMI (September): 57.7 (prior 55.1)
- New Zealand - ANZ job ads for September: +0.3% m/m (prior +3.1%)
Update:
Overnight was dominated by the FOMC minutes.
- Sep FOMC Minutes: 'November now clearly on the table' for Fed's next hike - CIBC CIBC December Fed hike odds sit at 66.7%
- FOMC Minutes: Several voters thought rates should rise 'relatively soon'
