So says PM May's spokesperson 31 July
- govt position on Brexit remains as set out by PM in January
- post-Brexit immigration system proposals will be brought fwd in due course
- would be wrong to speculate on these or suggest free movement will continue as it does now
- tax policy is always kept under review but govt is focussed entirely on getting a good Brexit deal
- precise details of implementation phase are for Brexit negotiations not looking for an off the shelf model
While the cat's been away on hols the mice have been well and truly playing so a statement is deemed necessary to reassert some sort of control it would appear.
Not looking for an "off-the-shelf model " ? Best the PM has a DM with PH then.
Same govt positions as her speech in January when Brexit definitely meant , er, Brexit ?
I still say she'll be gone by the Autumn/year-end but what a bunch of eejits vying to take her title belts.
Meanwhile GBPUSD back to 1.3121 after a test of 1.3100. EURGBP down to .8940 after failing at 0.8960 again.
