As mentioned earlier here, Cottarelli - who is an ex-IMF official - is reported to be meeting with Italian president Mattarella at the bottom of the hour. Reports are saying that Mattarella wants Cottarelli to lead a technocrat government, which as mentioned is not going to go down well with all other political parties in the country.
