A very quiet session overnight in the FX market and we are likely to experience something similar here in Asia. Equity markets continue to slide and risk-off sentiment prevails but the FX market isn’t really interested. Today sees the release of the latest RBA minutes and later tonight the EZ compact draft.
The USD is likely to stay well supported against the Asian currencies (except the Yen perhaps which simply won’t move) and this sentiment may wash over into the majors as it did yesterday.
