The National coalition won with 20.4%, the SDP 19.1%, the True Finns got 19% and the Centre Party got 15.8%.
The True Finns are strongly opposed to the EU bailing out weak economies such as Greece, Ireland or Portugal. Any Portugese bail-out will now have to pass through the new Finnish parliament and it’s by no means certain that the bill will pass.
This is not good news for the EUR but the market has been unwilling to sell it in recent months.
