Mester interviewed by the Wall Street Journal:
- the labor market is on track ... The other measures that are broader measures that some people like to focus on, they're all coming down. So I think we're probably a little beyond full employment from that point of view.
- I never built in a large fiscal policy boost. I was always a little skeptical that things would all of a sudden get all these changes.
- I'm still viewing the economy as on track for that gradual pace of funds rate increases.

Mester is towards the 'hawk' end of the scale with her monetary policy views. Back when she was a relative noob as head of the Cleveland Fed and just after the Christmas/New Year break she called for 4 rate hikes in 2016. A certain ForexLive ***hole lambasted her call and was in turn lambasted himself. Tee-hee.
