Fed’s Lacker: Will look to allow real rates to rise when recovery established

Fed hawk Lacker is on CNBC, saying that he will look at growth more closely than employment when the time comes to raise real interest rates. Removing some of the accommodation by shrinking the Fed’s balance sheet could happen before official rates are raised.

The consumer has found some footing, he says, though commercial real-estate will be a drag, he says.
