FED: Evans to the press: Fed is studying obstacles and headwinds
that restrict policy like GSEs not being able to earn IOR. GSE’s getting
IOR could help put a tighter policy in place. Prior to any tightening,
Evans is looking for an uptick in the economy that is highly
sustainable, for job growth to pick up in a meaninful way and for
inflation warning signs. Resource slack should keep inflation low.
