EU's Weber says draft Brexit deal will not be renegotiated

Comments by European parliament's Manfred Weber

  • The ball is now in London's court

Well, that pretty much says it all, doesn't it? While May has continuously argued that this isn't the final agreement and that it is just a draft treaty, the fact that European officials are unwilling to renegotiate the terms pretty much makes this a final deal in my view.

In any case, it's very much a "take it or leave it" offer here for the UK and so far, lawmakers haven't responded kindly to it.

On a side note, Weber is also looking now to be the favourite to take over from Juncker as European Commission president next year.
