Latest data released by Eurostat - 16 May 2018
- Core CPI +0.7% vs +0.7% y/y prelim
- CPI +0.3% vs +0.3% m/m expected
In line with expectations/preliminary figures. A non-event, but as mentioned earlier even if there is a miss towards the downside do take it with a pinch of salt as the data in April could be skewed thanks to the timing of Easter.
We'll have to wait for May's reading for more clarity on the inflation trend in the Eurozone.
