European stocks end like the current London weather, soggy and miserable

European stock market close 7 April 2016

  • FTSE -0.5%
  • Cac -1.1%
  • Dax -1.2%
  • Ibex -1.2%
  • FTSE Mib -2.5%

European bonds

  • Italy 1.40% +11bp
  • Spain 1.61% +10bp
  • Portugal 3.43% +25bp
  • Germany 0.089% -3bp
  • Greece 9.08% flat

That German 10yr yield is fast approaching the levels last seen a year ago. You already have to pay the Germans for the pleasure of lending them money from 7yrs down. Compared to what's happening in the rest of Europe's bonds, it shows that money is still looking for safety.
