Not a good start for the trading week in Europe
The major European stock indices are ending the week with losses.
- German Dax down -0.6%
- France's Cac down -0.5%
- UK's FTSE down -0.7%
- Spain's Ibex down -0.9%
- Italy's FTSE MIB down -1.0%
- Portugal's PSI20 down -1.3%
In the 10 year note sector yields are higher:
- Germany 0.735%, up 2.9 bp
- France 0.993%, up 4 bp
- UK 1.602%, up 2.1 bp
- Spain 1.513%, up 5.3 bp
- Italy 2.047%, up 6.2 bp
- Portugal 2.03%, up 2.5 bp
In other markets as European/London traders look to exit for the day:
- Spot gold up $0.27 or +0.03% at $1347.50
- Brent crude, up $0.73 or 1.14% at $65.58
- Bitcoin on Coinbase is trading up $444 at $11,215. The high extended to $11,274. The low fell to $10,297. The 100 hour MA stalled the fall today. It is rising and currently at $10,473 (see post on Bitcoin here).
In the forex market, the AUD remains the strongest. The JPY is the weakest. The USD is stronger vs all the major currencies with the exception of the AUD.
