It's been a quiet session with the US on holiday later too. The overnight Asian session took a swathe of China's data relatively unfazed with Asian equities ending broadly higher. However, UK equities started down and the DAX , CAC, Italian Ftse are all currently down. The UK FTSS is up marginally at 0.10%. Market quiet overall.
The EURUSD pair sold off during the session after testing the 50EMA. A continued weakening in the eurozone was confirmed with weak German PPI coming in at -0.4% vs +0.1% expected.
The New Zealand dollar was the weakest currency and JPY was the strongest agains the USD towards the end of the session. So, risk very much in the balance at the moment.
Theresa May is to release her Plan B later in the US session (which is on holiday), so we should be hearing from her around 1530GMT.
It's been a pleasure one and all and I will be with you again tomorrow, with Justin returning on Wednesday.
