Subdued tones at the opening bell
It's looking more like the flat tones here are a reflection of market worries. It feels like the kind of rally that wants to begin but just can't get off the ground. And the anchors are of course the subdued tone seen in Asian equities and US equity futures to start the day.
The bright side is that E-minis are recovering some poise in the last hour, but they are still down by 0.3% overall. Unless it recovers to flat levels, expect European equities to continue to trade in this mixed manner as well.
