EU summit headlines

They’re all coming out together so I’ll detail them in one post.

  • UK’s David Cameron says UK GDP figures show economy has real momentum
  • Spain’s Mariano Rajoy say they will be getting €1.8bn for youth employment program and a youth employment initiative will start in 2014
  • Luxembourg’s Jean Claude Junker says that rules are needed about secret services
  • Italian PM Letta says EU leaders made a step forward on digital tax agenda and telecoms
  • Germany’s Merkel says Draghi backed banking union plans at summit
  • Spain’s Rajoy says they will call in US ambassador to explain reports of spying, but doesn’t have evidence of Spain being spied upon
  • Herman Van Rompuy says there will be decisions made on migration policy at December summit
