According to the European Commission
- Formal process has been started to activate the Blocking Statute
- To update the list of US sanctions on Iran falling within the scope
- Green light was given by EU leaders after meeting in Sofia yesterday
Well, the Blocking Statute is not a cure-all remedy as it won't apply to EU multinationals but I guess it beats having to resort to retaliatory measures against the US.
