This according to a report by Bloomberg, citing a document circulated in Brussels
- Says EU wants no-deal plans to intensify in the months ahead
- Will discuss later today on emergency preparations in case of a breakdown in Brexit talks with the UK
Meanwhile, it is also reported that Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn is set to meet up with EU chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier tomorrow. Given the situation and uncertainty surrounding May's future, it looks like the EU may be looking at alternatives just in case at this point.
There isn't anything concrete on the table just yet but this kind of rhetoric here won't do much to help lift the pound on the day.
