Just a heads up for GBP and EUR traders that in this week of the latest EU summit, on 22-23, today sees some preliminary talks. Presser is labelled "European Commission: Press Conference on Negotiations Article 50 with the United Kingdom"
Let's see what they have to say this time. It wasn't scheduled so an announcement of a deal of sorts, probably on transition period matters. As always we'll look for detail behind the rhetoric. Justin earlier also had a heads up on EU states convening for an urgent meeting.
Meanwhile GBPUSD nudging up a little and testing some sell interest around 1.3950 which is keeping a lid on EURGBP, or vice versa. GBPJPY underpinned for the moment too as USDJPY finds dip demand again.Take your pick.
