Basically a repeat of the comments here but this time it's from the European Commission spokesman, citing EU chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier's report following yesterday's meeting with Geoffrey Cox.
While a Brexit extension may be good on paper for the pound, I'm not sure how good that sentiment will be if an extension comes about with May's Brexit deal being voted down next week with no further compromise seen in sight.
