ECB member and Bank of France governor Francois Villeroy with some comments
- Growth to remain sustained this year, a trend visible for all of the Eurozone
- Interest rates are climbing gradually (around the world) and that's the result of accelerating growth
- Looking at real rates - the price of credit subtracting inflation - they remain "very favourable"
Some general comments on growth and rising rates around the globe by Villeroy. Earlier in the month, French finance minister Le Maire said that he expects French 2018 GDP to exceed expectations of 1.7%.
