Comments by ECB governing council member Ewald Nowotny
- Markets don't see a rate hike this year
- Can't see the need for more liquidity

That should keep markets guessing a little ahead of the March meeting on what language to expect from the ECB. Today's set of PMI releases will do little to convince the ECB that they should continue with hiking rates but it's not bad in the sense that it will make them communicate such a change in two weeks' time.
