That's a rather strong tremor even based on Japan's high standards although the magnitude of the quake isn't as violent. In such cases, the tremors can cause buildings to collapse/homes to be damaged. Thankfully, the preliminary magnitude isn't high and the depth of the quake is rather shallow.
