USD/JPY is pressured by prospects of Kan pulling out tonight’s leadership election. He is seen as much less likely than his rival Ozawa to employ intervention.
USD/JPY is nearing the 83.50 level again where bids were rumored out of Tokyo. Stops are eyed below that level but bids are seen every 10pips below that level. Stops are fixed-in as well.
In EUR/USD, 1.2891 is minor resistance ahead of the more important 1.2920 level.
