- BOJ governor Kuroda is speaking much later in the day, at 0635GMT
Before those speeches:
2350GMT Japan trade balance for August, expected is Y -1113.8bn, prior was Y -1027.9bn
- Exports y/y expected +14.5%, prior +12.2%
- Imports y/y expected +18.5%, prior +19.6%
This will Japan’s 14th consecutive trade deficit, and given Japan’s increasing reliance on imported energy, they are likely to continue
