No great rush to start the week it seems so far 19 Feb
USD pairs are having a long w-e as well as our friends in the US and most of Canada.
USDJPY 106.53 in a 45-65 range, GBPUSD 1.4003 having failed around 1.4030 with EURUSD 1.2406 from 1.2426 as a few US$ buyers return.
USDCHF stuck around 0.9275 with EURCHF sell-interest capping the pair around 0.9300. Keep an eye if EURCHF drops below recent support line around 1.1500 which may cause some acceleration or prompt some SNB interest.
Eurogroup meeting shortly underway so we might have a few comments appearing in due course ahead of BOE gov Carney making a speech at 18.45 GMT under the title
"Leadership and Values". Full text will be published at the outset on BOE website
I'm not expecting any great lead from Mr C on either of those topics tbh nor mon pol but we may get a Q&A so FXL will stand poised as always and so should GBP traders.
Carney up to the mic later to give us his lead on leadership
