Corbyn comment cited
The Press Association reports that Corbyn has said he is "very happy" to meet Theresa May after she offered to sit down with him to agree to a plan which allows the UK to leave with a deal.
What it comes down to is whether he wants to deal with this now and move on or if he would rather let the Conservative party implode and hope that gives him a better shot at becoming PM.
Other comments:
- There is some common ground for us, and some areas that are hard to agree on
- I won't set any limits ahead of PM May meeting
- Do not see the EU elections as the most important issue
- Proposals will be put to parliament early next week to stop no deal
- Will put forward vote of no confidence if government can't get a majority
To me it all sounds like he's trying to find a way to force an election.
