Corbyn tries to unlock talks
Labour leader Corbyn will meet with the EU's Michel Barnier and European parliament Brexit coordinator Guy Verhofstadt next week, according to a Guardian report.
I take this as a good sign that Corbyn is trying to find a way to get a deal through parliament so we can all move on to other business. He wants a political declaration that includes a close alignment with the single market.
For me, this is the best (only?) path to a deal. It would take parts of Labour and Conservative parties coming together. Both would be accused of being traitors but Corbyn might calculate that Labour is hurt less than his counterparts.
