Chinese premier Li Keqiang out on the wires - from the state media, believed to be speaking on the radio
- Should stick to negotiations with US to address disputes and trade friction
- China will treat domestic and foreign firms equally
- China will not enforce foreign firms to transfer technology
- To further strengthen IP rights
- China will open up its door wider (with regards to economy)
Li trying to defend their stance after the US initiated investigations under Section 301 of the Trade Act 1974 on China's alleged IP theft and transfer.
Also trying to calm some nerves on the trade wars rhetoric with his comments there. Nothing else it seems from Li. Once again, we'll have to wait and see how the story develops on negotiations between the two countries.
